This Privacy Policy explains how Ringlee AI ("Ringlee", "we", "us") handles information when a Shopify merchant installs our app and when we contact their shoppers to recover abandoned carts. Plain language, no surprises.
When a merchant uses Ringlee, the merchant is the data controller of their shoppers' information and Ringlee acts as a data processor on their behalf. We only process shopper data to provide cart-recovery on the merchant's instructions.
Ringlee makes automated voice calls and sends SMS on the merchant's behalf. Merchants are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact their shoppers and for any consent required in their region. We provide tools to respect opt-ins, quiet hours and one-tap opt-outs, and we suppress numbers on Do-Not-Call lists.
We share data only with service providers that help us operate — for example telephony and SMS carriers, cloud hosting, and speech/AI processing — under contracts that keep your data confidential. We never sell personal data.
We keep shopper data only as long as needed to provide recovery and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it. Merchants can request deletion of their data at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Shoppers can opt out of contact at any time, and any request can be sent to the address below.
We use encryption in transit, access controls and regular reviews to protect data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll change the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let merchants know inside the app.
